Bug Description

Binary package hint: tircd

I kept running in to a problem where I was hitting the Twitter API limit with tircd 0.7-1 that Ubuntu (all versions) ship with, so I checked the project homepage --- http://code.google.com/p/tircd/ --- for an update, and it turns out that they released 0.10 in February 2010 and it fixes the problem I was having.

Suggestion for Maverick: Update to tircd 0.10 and change requirement from libnet-twitter-perl to libnet-twitter-lite-perl.

Manual workaround: Install libnet-twitter-lite-perl, uninstall tircd and put the perl script from the project webpage in either $HOME/bin or /usr/bin.

tircd 0.10-2 is in Maverick, so closing this bug as fixed.
