billy3321,

Do you think you could install the system again (e.g. on a virtual machine) following the steps at http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Install/NonEnglishLanguage#Installation%20Full%20Network%20Support and then tell us if the problem can be reproduced?

It would also be very useful if you could give us the output of the 'locale' command on the terminal.

Note that anyone from the Chinese community can try this, and it would be very useful in helping debugging the problem.

Thanks!

billy3321,

Thanks a lot for the screenshots. It seems that this happens when you install from the live session.

Do you think you could do a direct install (i.e. installing directly without loading the live session) following the instructions at http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Install/NonEnglishLanguage#Installation%20Full%20Network%20Support and then tell us if you can also reproduce it like that?

Thanks!

It would be useful if someone would show the output of the 'locale' command after the direct (i.e. not live) installation, as I was asking on a previous comment. The more detailed information we've got, the easier for developers to triage and fix the bug.

Time zone selection should not override the choice of language. At least it does not do it when choosing Catalan as a language and a German time zone.

I don't think this is a translation issue, but rather an ubiquity one. Feel free to re-open if you disagree.

I'm pretty sure this has been fixed through various changes in the way the locale is set. Closing.
