Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

I've got my music on a remote (slowish) server and a copy of it on my local disk. Therefore I've configured amarok to only scan my local copy, anything else would take too much time. While this worked fine on karmic, amarok on lucid insists on scanning my autofs directory, blocks as the server is slow and therefore does not start up.
I expect amarok to only scan the directories I configured (e.g. I stopped autofs and made sure only my local copy is given as location to scan) and I expect amarok not to block when scanning files on startup as the files I'm going to play are quickly available.

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
