Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
After Desktop loads you can not put the system into inverted colour mode using compiz you have to change the focus to the desktop by clicking the mouse. This has historically worked and have recently broken in Lucid.
Reproduce by pressing the invert key combination (see [Bug 574579]) after you have login in without using the mouse and you will be unable to turn the negative plugin on. This is usually seen when a system menu has focus and I guess this is the problem that a menu has been left with focus after load but i am not sure which one. Maybe the new mail menu again.
Clicking on the desktop with the mouse then allows you to use Super+M or whatever you config to turn on the negative plugin.
