Missing dependency frei0r-plugins in lucid

I have been testing OpenShot in Lucid since the betas. And it always crash when I use the "cartoon effect". After play for some hours in OpenShot, I discover that MLT is the problem, so then I saw that the effects that use the "frei0r-plugins" make crash the program. I search in the Synactic and it was not installed, after installing it, the problem has solved. Maybe you need to add "frei0r-plugins" dependence in the package.

Normal, i've just reading a mail of Jonathan who have just seen (severals hours ago with the time difference that Frei0r-plugins is not in the dependencie's list. So, installed it quickly and after you will have none problems. Sorry.

I can't confirm that, after installing "Frei0r-plugins" so more effects work, that's right, But deinterlance f.e. still crashes. Lucid, OpenShot 1.1.3 64-bit. Working with DV files which I grabbed with "Kino" in DV RAW format.

Other problem, i can't export in .mov, maybe some missing codecs?

I think that someway i also tried that because when i try to install the frei0r plugins it stated that it was already installed:

frei0r-plugins ya está en su versión más reciente.

I will still trying to make it work, but i found the avlinux live-cd which has a nice stable version of openshot (meanwhile we don't have rqd stability on lucid)

Also i tried a ubuntu studio distro with alternative installing method of openshot which showed also very stable.

I post here because i can not post the other post. Is it a problem on ubuntu or not. But we have more problems with the effects Deinterlace and remove green/blue/red. I have asked at somebody who have an opensuse and an archlinux if he can confirme or infirme this state.

Not sure how I missed this dependency when packaging OpenShot. It seems like this was a python-mlt dependency at some point, which is why I removed it from OpenShot. Anyway, I've made OpenShot smarter so it won't seg fault when trying to use a frei0r effect, if the frei0r-plugins package is not installed. Now, it will just remove the frei0r effects from the UI, and show a warning to the user.
