Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I am currently using Lucid Lynx with compiz 1:0.8.4-0ubuntu15

I have ALT+F1 through ALT+F5 bound to change to workspaces 1 through 5.

With desktop effects off, I am able to grab a window (either by using the move window hotkey of ALT and clicking, or by grabbing the title bar for the window) and hitting ALT+F1 through ALT+F5 and the window comes to that workspace as well.

If desktop effects are turned on and I drag a window, hitting ALT+F1 through ALT+F5 do not allow the workspace to change.

In Karmic, and previous versions, I believe it allowed me to change desktops... but the window wouldn't come with me. But now neither happen-- when I believe that with effects on, it should act with the same behaviour as if there were no effects and switch to the workspace, bringing the window with it.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
