Bug Description

In Synaptic, I have four packages under "residual config" that won't go away when I select "Completely remove." These packages are:

linux-backports-modules-nouveau-2.6.32-15-generic
linux-backports-modules-nouveau-2.6.32-16-generic
linux-backports-modules-nouveau-2.6.32-19-generic
linux-backports-modules-nouveau-2.6.32-20-generic

When I try to uninstall them, I get this error:

E: linux-backports-modules-nouveau-2.6.32-20-generic: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1

This is particularly annoying since I have an ATI card :)

Hi Benjamin,

Please run the command 'apport-collect BUGNUMBER', which will attach several files we need for debugging.

Hi Bryce, I ran apport-collect 573669 and it takes me to Launchpad. I allow the application access, but then it just stops on "Almost Finished" and never goes further.
