Bug Description

Binary package hint: gwibber

Currently the envelope icon in the system tray provides access to the user's chat accounts, mail client and broadcast accounts. Both the chat and broadcast options open a new window for their respective contents, but after closing this window the applications continue to run in the background.

When the mail client option is chosen a new window is again opened, but the service is terminated once this window is closed.

This behaviour is inconsistent and subtracts from the benefits of the integrated communication system that gwibber provides. I recommend that evolution should run in the background by default, to match the behaviour of the other clients or it should be separated from gwibber altogether.
