notify-send is completely broken

note that notifications sent via library calls are still works fine (e. g. rhythmbox and thunderbird at least).

i've the same problem with ubuntu running in i386

just added myself to the messagebus group and it started working :S

In my case it is not working even if I add myself to the messagebus group. Only when I use "sudo" it works.
