Bug Description
Binary package hint: software-center
Hello,
installing 4 or 5 packages at the same time with ubuntu software center results in a heavy memory consumption by software center (about 450 MB).
I'm using ubuntu 10.04 LTS netbook remix on an Acer d250 netbook with 1 gb RAM.
I've taken a screenshot of system monitor with the high memory consumption by software center.
Bye
Sergio

I can confirm that software-center has a huge memory leak. Each time you click on "Provided by Ubuntu" it will consume additional 25 MB of RAM. Seems like it's recreating the cache each time.
