Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I prefer to expand my top and bottom panels in GNOME to 48 pixels. Unfortunately, under Lucid's default settings it appears GNOME handles this by repeating the top-bottom image for the last 16 pixels, which, when put against a window, makes it difficult to tell where the panel stops and window starts.

Might be easier if I attached the top of the screen, then you'll see what I mean.

I know I can get used to this, but it's an annoying usability issue.
