Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

Similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/224475, however I don't think it's related as this shouldn't occur on a WIndow focus change.

I have my laptop plugged into an external monitor. It's original screen is disabled, and it's using the external screen. If I hit a volume button on the laptop (or on the docking station), it switches the display to the laptop's display.

Once this also caused a crash of X and dumped me back to GDM, however I don't have a log of that handy. I believe it's confined to the NVidia proprietary drivers as well.

This is new in Lucid and a regression since Karmic.
