Bug Description
I have tried two apps depending from openal, and got the same error at both cases:
AL lib: alsa.c:637: set rate near failed: Invalid argument
For the fist app (speed-dreams) it is a showstopper, the second one (bitfighter) just goes without sound.
!!The problem is introduced after upgrading from Karmic to Lucid.

OpenAL 1.11 is a bit old (like this bug report), I'm going to ask that you retry with the latest 1.14 release to see if you have the same problem.
