Bug Description

Today I was testing staging.osi.sixfeetup.com with the Firebug console open, looking to see if response time for LiveSearch had improved due to the SSDs. I noticed that around 5% of the time, I was getting an extra/duplicate XHR sent as a search. Worse still, this search would never return. I wasn't able to reproduce which scenarios would and wouldn't trigger the duplicate.

Thus unfortunately the first step is to spend some time doing random things with Firebug open (switching pages then searching, doing a search and backspacing to do a new search, etc.) and see if you can reproduce it.

On a related note, if you do a search, then do Cntrl-A to select all the text, you get another search issued.

Also, Nat noted in the product backlog:

"Paste into live search should trigger a live search"

Can't reproduce. Attaching a screencast with the firebug console visibly open during the operation, would be a great help.

I was able to trigger it again, but I can't really tell the sequence of keystrokes that caused it.

I'll move this to M44. At that point, I'll also split out the two sub-bugs into their own tickets.
