Bug Description
This message is all that appears after installing Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100429) from a USB stick alongside my working installation of Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit. Attaching the only files that seem to have any useful content in /var/log of the new installation.

I get this error when booting the release version of 10.04 from a downloaded 32-bit CD image burned to disk.
I am filing the bug report from my Ubuntu 9.10 install by running the ubuntu-bug linux as recommended by Steve Langasek here (https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ plymouth/ +bug/532984/ comments/ 27).
I get the same errors as described in these bug reports:
Bug #558842
Bug #531027
Cant use 10.04 until its fixed so if I can help in any way, let me know.
