I've changed the title of this bug report, because I'm not sure this crash can be related to a module; the last syslog line before the Call Trace is relatedto wpa_supplicant, which is not a kernel module.

summary: - kernel module crahs on boot
+ System crashes during boot

The system did not crash or halted, it was just the module that crashed, as i saw later on the boot log. After this, i upgraded my BIOS to the latest one with the ASUS BIOS update tool and the problem seems to have gone away.
