Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
9.10 ubuntu, I am using couch.db with Evolution (not sure if it is related)
This is a notebook. The fan was at the max. for a couple of days and the machine was under a heavy strain. I haven't noticed because it's an older single core Pentium IV 2.8 GHZ and it tends to over heating when I am using resource hungry applications.
Nevertheless, the fan was still kicking without any app runing in the background. I passed the $ pid command in the terminal. It outputted 99.%7 of cpu usage for (?) ubuntu-one sync (?) process, although there was nothing to sync (ubuntu one/evo contacs). I have then passed the command $ killall ubuntu-on sync and the CPU usage returned to a normal value.
After logging-out/in it was a message "Ubuntu-one experienced a serious bug, report it on Launchpad". I am not sure if it is a bug or just an isolated incident?

Mine wasn't at full speed but it was sucking up a lot of resources. I canceled the sync process when the notice stated there was a bug and to report it.
