/var/lib/dpkg/info/volumeid.postinst: 24: Syntax error: "fi" unexpected (expecting "then")
dpkg: error processing volumeid (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2

Fix is to add "then" to the end of line 22.
