Bug Description

Whenever i boot the Ubuntu 10.04 Live CD, all i get is a message displaying this. "The installer encountered an unrecoverable error. A desktop session will now be run so that you may investigate the problem or try installing again."

I asked how i could fix this on ubuntuforums.org(http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1461157), they told me that i should use the nomodeset option. And that fixes the problem.
Although i believe that the user shouldn't have to do this.

Installing of the system using the live desktop session works fine.
