Green Imac g3 powers on again

Bug Description

I've successfully installed Ubuntu 6.06 on my Imac g3. When I shutdown the computer, the system goes power off, but after 0.5 seconds, the system powers on again and boots. So the power led turns off for 0.5 seconds and turns on again automaticaly. To power off the computer completly, I have to push the button 4 seconds.

I didn't have this problem when ubuntu 5.10 was installed on this green imac, so I think (I hope) it's not the hardware that is broken.

Greetings Hendrik

The problem occurs on two identical green imac g3's (I think 350 Mhz), and also with the dapper live cd.

The problem doesn't occur with blue imac g3 (I think 500 mhz).

Can you test this bug against Dapper 6.06.1 and/or Edgy Beta 1 so we can see if this bug has been resolved or not.

I've installed the latest dapper updates (I have this equivalent to 6.06.1),
but still the same problem. I didn't try it yet with edgy.

I did install Ubuntu edgy on a green iMac 350 (see attached cpuinfo below for details) and I am having the same troubles as the original poster.

I read about bug https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/pbbuttonsd/+bug/46445 and thought it might be the same problem (as pbbuttonss got installed on this imac too) and killed it, but it did not solve this problem.
