Bug Description

This is not a bug. I request an ubuntuone-client for Ubuntu 8.10 or newer. I can not install 9.04 or higher due to limitations in kde. I need 8.10 for my work.

I appreciate that you can't upgrade for work reasons but Ubuntu 8.10 is no longer supported and it's strongly recommended to upgrade to a later release, using an LTS release will avoid the need to upgrade as often.

I would be surprised if ubuntuone is offically backported to an unsupported version of ubuntu so don't be surprised if this bug gets marked as invalid.

If you are able to post more details of your limitations in the forums someone may be able to help with some advice on how to upgrade in your situation.

Like Daniel said, it is unlikely that we will backport to 8.10, especially with 10.04 now being an LTS.
