Description of Problem:
Ubuntu 6.06 recognizes the rt61 driver as ra0 but line #103 must be
comment out in /etc/network/
boot up bringing up network devices hangs. Once looged in any attempt to
bring up ra0 freezes the terminal.
Once line #103 is comment out ra0 will not come up by itself, network
settings must be used to choose ASCI encryption with no key inserted and
then ra0 will come up.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install Canyon WF511 card
2. Install Ubuntu 6.06 and boot up, configure networking.
3. Reboot
Actual Results:
Freeze, then manual ifup ra0 needed with ASCI selected.
Expected Results:
Boot up and networking is up by itself.
How often does this happen?
Everytime
This is not an issue with NetworkManager but rather with wireless-tools. Reassigning appropriately.
