kxkb doesn't work

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

i configured in kde 3.5.10 kxkb to switch from layouts with alt+ctrl and this does not work. If i click on the flag from the system tray all is OK but not the keyboard shortcut

Kubuntu 8.04 is no longer supported. If this is still an issue for you after upgrading to a more recent version of Kubuntu, please file a bug about this matter at bugs.kde.org.

this is in kde3 which is not supported upstream but this kde comes from 9.10.

so i hope that at least for kde3 from 9.10 you provide updates/fixes
