clicking on an applet and hovering mouse over a different applet changes focus

Bug Description
Hi,
I often need to change the sound on via the indicator-applet, and I find, when I select the sound applet, and move across to select the sound bar, it changes focus to a different applet, e.g. bluetooth.
This is because I move the mouse diagonally, and brush over the bluetooth applet.
Is it possible to disable to onhover focus, so that a user has to definitively click on an applet for it to change focus?
This would make using the indicator-applet alot easier.
