Bug Description

Dell Inspiron 1720 using the nVidia 8400 chipset. 3GB ram. Previously running 9.10 Koala without issues using the generic driver, and the manually installed nVidia hardware driver.

Installing the RC1 version of Kubuntu 32-bit 10.04 shows on the Time zone select screen of the installer pixellated "broken" outlines for the countries on the map.

Upon install the system toolbar shows the same corrupted "broken" outlines along the top and the bottom of the toolbar edges where a gradual shaded change would be seen.

Reversion back to a fresh install of 9.10 on the same hardware does not show the problem.

Will attempt to install the nonefree nVidia driver on RC1 to see if this causes the problem as well or alleviates issues.

Hello
Is this problem present with the latest updated Lucid's or Maverick's packages?
Thanks in advance
Fabio
