Applications ask for remote passwords

I added a bookmark via Bookmarks -> Add Bookmark in Nautilus. The location is set to ftp://<email address hidden> .

When I try to extract a package via file-roller it asks me several times for my password.

The same thing happens when I try to open a playlist in Totem.

I was able to reproduce this bug in Breezy and Dapper.

This is all true. Happens on every Ubuntu system I can get my hands on, which is about four or five. All varied bits of hardware in each, no two are significantly alike.

Same here. It only happens when there is effectively a bookmark to a remote server. Just having registered network servers does not trigger this problem.

Since it's essentially possible to provide the same functionality as bookmarks using network servers, it's quite possible to work around the problem. But it's a heck of an annoyance if you do not know what is the problem.
