I have a bit of a feeling that this was caused by my ISP (!) resolving non-resolvable DNS names to their stupid search page. Once I opted out of that behaviour, auto-detecting DAAP shares started working. Still, auto-detection of local resources should not be dependant on external services like the DNS servers.

This bug isn't a duplicate of #450916.

The other bugs are about refusing to connect to a server detecting a server, while this one is a about detecting a server

Please correct that mistake

I think this is not a duplicate of #450916

on Ubuntu Natty, Banshee does not detect avahi published daap servers, the only way I have to get the share working is to manually insert the ip address of my nas every time I run banshee from "Add remote DAAP server"
