No menu when i click in rhythmbox icon

If I click on the indicator applet icon of rhythmbox I can not see the menu.
It only appears when I'm playing a song.

Yes, I can confirm this. Sometimes, when I start rhythmbox, the indicator applet does not work: When I click on it, there is no menu allowing me to show rhythmbox, play and so on. When I remove the indicator applet and then re-add it, it works again.

Maybe I should add that I use Lucid amd64 with all updates applied, indicator-applet 0.3.6-0ubuntu2.

I am running Lucid i386, fully updated and have the same problem.
It only happens sometimes - although I don't know what causes it to happen.

Is there any sort of debugging information I can provide to help resolve this?

I am having the same problem with Lucid 64bit. I've noticed that it does not happen when the main window is show when the program starts. If you run gconf-editor and go to /apps/rhythmbox/plugins/status-icon and change "window-visible" to true the main window will open and it works fine. However, if you close Rhythmbox while the main window is hidden it will be marked false so the main window will not open next time.

For me the drop down never appears when the main window is not shown first and always works when it is shown.

This is a bug in the applet and not a papercut.

This bug affects me too, with Ubuntu Lucid amd64. I can make the icon reappear with removing and recovering the indicator applet.
