Disk check after unclean shutdown hangs at 71%

Bug Description

When booting after an unclean shutdown, I get the Plymouth screen as normal, with the text "Scanning disk 1 of 1 x%". It hangs at 71%. Pressing del and esc lots seems to make it work.
