Bug Description

Binary package hint: rosegarden

As the title says, rosegarden 10.02 segfaults in Ubuntu Lucid when hitting the "save as" and "open" buttons, when not using the default "thorn" style, which is awful in my opinion. This did not happen with the rosegarden 10.02 packages I was using in Karmic.

I just discover that the bug happens only if your system KDE theme is "GTK". If you disable the thorn theme, and run for instance "rosegarden -style oxygen" the bug does not happen.

I have Ubuntu 10.04 and it will crash on saving also with the -style oxygen. -style gtk crashes, -style qt crashes also. It does not matter whether the "thorn" is enabled or not. The only way to save my work is to use "rosegarden" (without a style) and have the "thorn" enabled. With this syle rosegarden is very difficult to use, because the GUI is very difficult to read.

Please could you fix this.

Also affects Maverick (at least 64b), since the version there is also 10.02. After downloading 10.10 from Natty's repositories it works well (although I don't know if doing this sort of things has collateral consequences).

Just retested this with 11.06 which is the oldest I have handy, and it's no longer an issue. Also with latest svn as of today, no problem. Recommend closing.
