Bug Description

The OpenERP Server service starts up fine on windows boot up and I can log in via web client to the system and use it.
But if a user logs on locally on the PC hosting the service and then logs off Windows, the server service stops and I encounter the error message of "Could not connect to server!" on the web login page. OpenERP Server service is confirmed to have stopped in Windows Services console. OpenERP Web service is still running. Requires a manual restart of the Server service for OpenERP to be accessible again.

Error message in Windows Event Viewer:
The instance's SvcRun() method failed
File "win32serviceutil.pyc", line 805, in SvcRun
File "OpenERPServerService.pyc", line 89, in SvcDoRun
<type>: OpenERP Server check: server not running, check the logfile for more info

System info:
OS: Windows XP Professional
OpenERP version: 5.0.9 stand-alone (had same problem with 5.0.6)

Error persists even after re-install of Windows and OpenERP.
Is this a bug which affects Win XP SP3?

Hi,

I made a patch to fix this problem. The OpenERP service now handle the Console control event correctly.

Hello,

I have tested your scenario at my end and it seems the problem still persists in current version. As we are very close to release of current version. We will consider it as future road map for further release.

Thanks.
