Bug Description
Following on from bug 567004: it would be interesting if changes made from external tools were marked as such in the web ui and in email - in particular for bug and mp comments. This kind of thing is done on some other web applications that encourage external tools including for example facebook. It would help people filter out mail generated by batch updates and it would make users aware of other tools that might be useful.

Yes, this would be nice to have. If we ever do a story around finishing the comment interleaving work this could be marked higher priority for malone.
