Bug Description

There seems to be a lot of information around as to the fix required to use Pigin with Yahoo.Messenger,because when it is installed with 9.04 it does just not work.
There is a conflict with Pigin and Yahoo.
And i have found the answer in a Update on the Web so i thought i would post it to you to put into Ubuntu Information as this is the Fix that rearly works.
Just open the Terminal.

sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com \ 67265eb522bdd6b1c69e66ed7fb8bee0a1f196a8

Then put in Password.

echo deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/pidgin-developers/ppa/ubuntu \ `lsb_release --short --codename` main | \sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pidgin-ppa.list

Then This

udo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y install pidgin

Then when you start Pigin it Is Updated and works 100%

affects: ubuntu → pidgin (Ubuntu)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, pidgin version.
