Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One is not working properly for you. Can you please advise if you have network-manager installed or if you are using another connection manager (such as wicd) to manage your network connections? To find out if network-manager is installed, please run "apt-cache policy network-manager" (without the quotes) from a terminal window. Network-manager is not installed if the output of that command shows "Installed: (none)".

If you have removed network-manager, please follow the instructions outlined in https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+faq/836 to install an updated version of ubuntuone-client from the PPA that does not depend on network-manager.

Thanks in advance!
