Attach the output from 'amixer' after a fresh login from a fresh boot.
Do *not* alter any sound settings beforehand.

This attachment shoving original amixer values after live CD is booted, I not change any volume, only in terminal run amixer >amixer-original.txt command.

The second amixer text file showing possible what volume values are changed after I increasing volume with 56% with volume up key.
After I increasing volume, in terminal I only run following command:
amixer >amixer-aftervolumeup.txt

Unfortunately this problem not changed in final Ubuntu Lucid version
live CD.
Sent amixer outputs not show any differences with original values and
increased values?

I can confirm that other Lucid users are seeing this problem, though it doesn't show up on my machine. I'm happy to help track it down, but I need to find a way to duplicate the bug first.

Now I have sighted assistance and we found what the problem with this
Nvidia sound card handle in final Lucid live CD.
When the boot is finished, the output volume is default muted. We
checked this in gnome-volume control application. Very interesting, in
effects page for example we see the output volume is 100 percent, but
the mute checkbox is checked by default. When my friend uncheck this
checkbox, Orca Screen Reader is talking fine. This problem is not
happened with my another machines with different sound cards, for
example my notebook have following sound card, and Lucid live CD booting
perfect and have sound after the boot is finished:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio
Controller (rev 03)

For example this sound card output volume is not muted by default and
not default checked the mute check box in gnome-volume-control
application. This information help you?
