Bug Description

I have an ASUS Z96J laptop (this is basically the same as an S96J). When laptop is booted with the bluetooth module loaded, I randomly get freezes. Looking at syslog, this is caused by the Intel 3945 driver needing to be reset on a regular basis.

If I blacklist the bluetooth module by editing /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist and adding:
blacklist bluetooth
to the end of it, the problem goes away. Now I just get a number of entries in my syslog complaining, "WARNING: Not loading blacklisted module bluetooth".

I was also getting a lot of "ata2 is slow to respond, please be patient" which seem to have stopped.

Note that I have to boot with acpi=off in order for my root file system to be found. This may be part of the problem.

Do you still have this issue? What kernel are you using?

No. I believe this was fixed in 6.10. Certainly, I am still using the laptop and was no longer experiencing this problem. Similarly, this does not affect me in 7.04 (late beta).

Also worth mentioning, I do not have to boot with acpi=off in either 6.10 or 7.04. Please feel free to close this bug.
