Bug Description
Binary package hint: knockd
The package knockd contains both the "knockd" daemon and the "knock" client.
Could the client be separated from the daemon? Otherwise installing the client requires installing the daemon as well.
The daemon installation causes knokd to be installed in various /etc/rc.X directories, slowing down the boot process even for machines that do not use the daemon but only the client.
