Bug Description
Binary package hint: fontconfig
Subpixel smoothing is currently the default rendering option. It defaults to Slight Hinting which is really ugly. It should default to Full Hinting instead.

I have reassigned this issue to gnome-control- center instead of fontconfig. BTW, Hinting Slight works fine for my display :) , any way, please could you attach some screenshots for seeing comparations for these options under your system? Thanks
