Realtek RTL8111/8168B NFS hangs

System76,

        I have a System76 serp5 laptop with a Realtek RTL8111/8168B ethernet card. I am running
ubuntu 9.10. It hangs while copying large files ( 20G or larger ) across NFS. I have tried
upgrading to kernel v2.6.32.11 and still had problems. I was able to fix this by downloading an
updated driver from the Realtek website. The URL is :

After installing this new driver from Realtek I haven't had any NFS hangs while coping large files
(86G and larger ) My concern is that other people with this laptop will have the same
problems and not know how to fix it. I hope that you will be able to follow up on contacting
the proper people to get this fixed in future kernels and put on the knowledge76.com website.

This bug is fixed in everything except Dapper and Intrepid. Marking fix-released.
