When starting an alsa-application (for ex. aplay) you've to reselect profile in there is no audio any more, reselecting profile in gnome-volume-control

To have audio in lucid i have to do:

1. run gnome-volume-control -> hardware -> select an differnt profile than the current selected and then select "Analog Stereo Output"

Then it seems, when i run an audio application, that uses alsa (?) audio goes away: for ex.

winecfg and then open the audio-tab mutes the audio, redoing 1. enables sound again...
running springlobby or spring disables sound 1. enables sound again...

I've an asus M4A785T-M mainboard with onboard audio (snd-hda-intel).
