It seems to be a problem running cups server after that update.
After manual restart cups everthing's fine.

Do you still need to start the cup service manually after a reboot of your system?

After enabeling my second (unconnected) network device in the bios Cups fails to start from time to time. I have to start it manually.

As said it is difficult to reproduce, cause it doesn't happen every boot.

My first network device is a wlan card which is connected.

When I disable the second (unconnected) network device Cups starts always.

What else informations are needed ?

You are not able to print because cups is not initialized on boot! To check it try to do "/etc/init.d/cups status".
Although it has execution rights and it is in init.d, it doesn't start by default!
This has to be fixed!
The fact of the buttons in Printing settings dialog are grayed isn't the true issue.

Should not be caused by CUPS that CUPS does not get started.
