Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

Today i upgrade my system. I use ubuntu 10.4 (lucid) with efects (compiz). Before upgrade, graphic worked perfect (glxgears was about 5000fps) . But now, 3D rendering is slow (glxgears 2000fps). And when i move window, that cpu go up to 100% and motion of windows is jerky. I tried driver intel, but problem is same. Deleting xorg.conf was same, too.

I noticed that to have 3D accelerated, you had to add monitor section for each output
try modifying xorg.conf as follow :

in the device section add :

Option "monitor-VGA1" "vga"

Option "monitor-LVDS1" "lvds"

EndSection section add :

and 2 monitor sections :

Section "Monitor"
 Identifier "vga"

EndSection

Section "Monitor"
 Identifier "lvds"
Option "Ignore" "true"

EndSection

more details here http://intellinuxgraphics.org/dualhead.html

but looks like 3D is active only when one section is enabled.
