Bug Description

Binary package hint: squid

squid_unix_group doesn't work for me in ubuntu dapper when I enable winbind authentication.

- Without winbind it seems to work ok (tried on a different machine).
- With winbind authentication enabled it segfaults (tried in two different machines)
- In Debian Sarge it works even with winbind enabled.

This is what happens in ubuntu with winbind enabled: (note "group" and "user" don't exist, but the same happens when I use real users. There are symbols in the following text. I hope you can see them)

user@pi:~$ /usr/lib/squid/squid_unix_group -g group -p
user

Could it have anything with Ubuntu using UTF8 instead of ISO8859?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
