Bug Description

Hi, I try to turn-off PC, it logs out, then I see broken plymouth and just when it ordinary turns off (or restart)... it does nothing. Just freezes. If I push Esc, it show some information but every time different so I think it is useless. If I push Ctrl+Alt+del, (or push the power button) it restarts (or turns-off) in few seconds. I use Acer 5930g and kernel 2.6.32-21.
Thanks

It seems this was accidentally tagged regression-proposed. As there haven't been any Lucid kernels in -proposed up to this point I'm removing the tag. The bug description confirms this was against the 2.6.32-21.31 which was a regular kernel release. Thanks.

Hi Tommy_CZ,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

On Acer 5930g, it is now OK, but with the latest Lucid Kernel (via updates), it does now on Asus B50A. Next week I'll test it more throughly and refer here.
