Bug Description

I just downloaded the latest thunderbird at 1300 Pacific Time, and it still does not start, I am using Lucid with all the latest upgrades

I added a task for this on the Thunderbird package in Ubuntu as it's not a bug in the Launchpad bug tracker itself.
