Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.

You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox -ProfileManager

Thanks for you answer.

I will do that on tuesday the 20th of april and let you know the result.

I would like to precise something. By preceding versions I meant preceding beta versions. With Ubuntu 9.04 there's no problem at all.

Regards,

It also looks like you have two versions of Flash on your system. The version in .mozilla/plugins is outdated. Could you try removing the version in there and see if that works?

Hi,

Following your advice, I found out that my java6 was the problem.

I removed java and in konsole:

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts

(By the way, I tried to install it with Kpackagekit and had broken packages...)

Thanks for your help.
