With a fresh install of 64bit 10.04, gxine refused to run (=just doesn't work) , as above.
After setting up a symlink:
sudo ln -sv /usr/lib/ firefox- 3.6.3/libmozjs. so libmozjs.so
then gxine came to life as it should. However, each time that Firefox is updated the symlink will need updating.
One isn't convinced that the dependency on libmozjs.so is correctly recorded. The consequence is that the out of the box experience is very poor.
