Have you installed the virtualbox-ose-guest-dkms package on the host system?

Hello Felix,

Now, i have upgraded with the sun karmic package 3.1.6 virtualbox, while the default kubuntu karmic OSO are outdated and very bugged . Early on others bugs, the answer from OSO was to upgarded and that's what i do to can test Lucid for exemple or run win seven.

So it's not the same bug as the one you point me too, well i think so.

I asked to backport or updated the default repo too for kubuntu but still no answer...

Thank you for your contribution to this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. My apologies as I should not have marked this bug Invalid. Because I could not find a 3.2.8 Maintainer PPA nor would a live CD of Maverick Meerkat fit this situation, you will have to wait for someone with more knowledgeable to help. However, the best I can offer is to download the newest VirtualBox 3.2.8 via http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/3.2.8/virtualbox-3.2_3.2.8-64453~Ubuntu~lucid_i386.deb Disclaimer: this is a Pandora's box suggestion but will help settle this issue.
