Bug Description

Distribution: ArchLinux 2.6.33
DE: none
Windows Manager: compiz (standalone)
AWN version: avant-window-navigator 0.4.0-1
AWN Extras Applets version: awn-extras-applets 0.4.0-1
Installed through: pacman (packages manager of the distribution)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9600GTm
GPU Drivers: libvdpau (Nvidia VDPAU library), nvidia 195.36.15-2 (NVIDIA drivers for kernel26), nvidia-utils 195.36.15-1 (NVIDIA drivers utilities and libraries)

BUG
I cannot start the notification deamon, it's always crashed. Moving my cursor on it, it just says:
"Whoops! The applets crashed. Click to restart it."
Nothing if i click, it just crashes again (with the face :( on it).
The error reported by the terminal where X is running is this (I don't use any display manager):

** (avant-window-navigator:3173): DEBUG: Spawned awn-applet[3206] for "notification-daemon.desktop", UID: 1271182688, XID: 6291507

** (awn-applet:3206): CRITICAL **: awn_applet_simple_set_icon_info: assertion `applet_name' failed

** CRITICAL **: awn_icon_expose_event: assertion `priv->icon_srfc' failed
aborting...
** (avant-window-navigator:3173): DEBUG: Spawned awn-applet[3217] for "notification-daemon.desktop", UID: 1271182688, XID: 6291507

** (awn-applet:3217): CRITICAL **: awn_applet_simple_set_icon_info: assertion `applet_name' failed

** CRITICAL **: awn_icon_expose_event: assertion `priv->icon_srfc' failed
aborting...

Thanks anyway,
Cheers!

We advised our packagers (Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora) to apply the above mentioned patch on top of Awn 0.4.0, unfortunately it seems the word didn't get to Arch packagers.
