Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
In opposition to Bug #353112, I suggest that we actually exit Pidgin if the user closes the Buddy List using the window buttons. This is the common behavior in most application; plus it's very hard to recognize that Pidgin is still running by only the arrow in the indicator applet.
To me, it seems counter-intuitive to only hide an application without any clear visual evidence that it's still running if the user actually used the the "close" button and thus an "exit" metaphor.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Do you get the same with Lucid or Maverick? Thanks in advance.
